Senior A Camogie Munster Champions 2024-2025
Junior Camogie
Our Junior Camogie team has made exceptional progress this season and can be very proud of how far they’ve come. As a very young team, many of the players were new to this level of competition, but they approached each match with determination, energy, and a real desire to improve. Early in the season, they got off to a strong start with an impressive win over St. Angelas Waterford 6.17 to 6pts, showing great teamwork and sharp attacking play.
The team was superbly captained by Aoife O’Grady, whose leadership on and off the pitch helped to keep the group focused and united throughout the year. As the campaign went on, they faced tough tests against Ursuline and Carrick. Although they narrowly lost both of these matches, the team showed real grit and pushed their opponents all the way, gaining valuable experience with each game. Their consistent effort and rapid development earned them a well-deserved place in the Shield Final, where they once again gave a strong performance.
While they just missed out on lifting the trophy, the season as a whole was a massive step forward. The future looks bright for this talented group, and we look forward to seeing what they’ll achieve in the years ahead.
Under 15 Camogie
Our Under 15 Camogie team has been in outstanding form this season and remain unbeaten heading into next week’s final. Captained by the ever-reliable Sarah Jane Ormond, this is a superb group of players who have shown excellent commitment, skill, and teamwork from the very beginning.
The team has enjoyed a dominant run of results, with a 4-17 to 0-3 win over Nenagh, a 3-11 to 0-7 victory against Ursuline, a 1- 17 to 2-4 Win against Cashel Community School, and a thrilling three-point win over Carrick. Their performances have been marked by sharp defending, clever play in midfield, and a clinical edge in front of goal. Each match has shown how well they work together as a unit, with every player contributing to the team’s continued success.
The team now prepares to face Carrick once again in the final. With the momentum they've built and the strong bond they share on the pitch, there’s every reason to be confident going into the decider. Regardless of the result, this group has already proven they are a force to be reckoned with — and their best is still yet to come.
This season has marked a major step in their development as players and as a team. Their continued growth and impressive performances point to a bright future for this talented squad. A special mention must go to First Years Siobhán Gleeson, Katelyn Creedon, Róisín Ryan, Mae Kennedy, and Ellie Cahill, all of whom stepped up brilliantly and made a real impact throughout the campaign.
