German
Deutsch macht Spass!
Transition Year students, Naomh Pól, enjoyed making and presenting their 'Schultute' in German class. The Schultute, an old German tradition, is gifted to all students to mark their first day of school. Well done Madels!
Gaelic Football
Two Pres Thurles teams participated in a Gaelic Football blitz in Rockwell on Monday. Both teams played a total of four games, facing teams from across the county. Our Pres girls showed great determination and heart in each of their games. This blitz was the first of many competitions that the girls will play during this coming year. We would like to thank Rockwell College for the use of their facilities and to Mr. Colin Doyle, the girls’ mentor.
Halloween Camp
We are excited to announce that we will be running our Halloween camp again this year for 4th, 5th and 6th class girls. The camp is being run by our own teachers. Art, Sport, Science and Drama are the areas that your daughter can enjoy from November 1st – 3rd. Spaces are limited so to book a place, call or text (087) 3446818 #halloweencamp
Whole School Celebration
Last week, we celebrated our new school year and our school community in the Cathedral of the Assumption. A beautiful Mass was celebrated by our school’s Chaplain, Fr. Vincent Stapleton. We would like to say a huge ‘Thank You ‘ to our Religion and Music departments for organising such a special event, and thanks to all students and staff, who participated in the Mass.
