New Beginnings
We are delighted to welcome back all of our students and staff after a well-earned summer break following another Covid-19 challenging year in 2020-2021. Given what has happened in our society and across the world over the previous eighteen months, we have chosen ‘Resilience’ as our Wellbeing theme for this academic year for all in our school community.
We would like to congratulate our new management team: our new Principal, Trish O’Callaghan and our new Deputy Principal, Olivia O’Brien on their recent appointments and we wish them every success as they lead our school onwards in new adventures and continue the Presentation Spirit. We send our heartfelt ‘Thanks’ and ‘Good Wishes’ to our recently retired Principal, Marie Collins, for years and years of service (41 to be exact!) and unwavering dedication to our school. Beir bua agus beannacht, a Mháire. Nár laga Dia í.
A very special and warm welcome to our new 1st Years as they joined our Presentation family on Wednesday last. The girls were introduced to each other by their Tutors and Year Head. They then participated in fun sports and ice-breaker activities, which were followed by an IT session after lunch. What a lovely start for our new Pres Girls!
LC Results
Congratulations to all of our wonderful Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Applied students who received their results last Friday. We were delighted to welcome our Class of 2021 back in to our school’s Sports Complex on the morning of their results (Friday September 3rd). It was an opportunity for students, staff and parents to meet and exchange good wishes and gratitude. The camaraderie among this group was evident to see. We are very proud of the young ladies that they have become. We wish them health, happiness and success in the years to come. They will always be ‘Pres Girls’.
