Extra - Curricular Activities
Presentation Secondary School provides a broad range of creative and cultural activities to develop the talents of al student, to broaden their horizons and to provide them with the confidence and enthusiasm to be involved in various clubs and societies in later life.
The following extra curricular activities are available to students in 2009/2010.

ART
We are fortunate in having a bright, spacious, well equipped Art room in our school. All students study Art, Craft and Design in first year. Thereafter Art is offered as an optional examination subject, in which students talent and creativity are developed through a variety of artistic disciplines – drawing, painting, life sketching, sculpture, pottery and three dimensional craftwork. They are assisted in preparing a portfolio for entry into third level Art Courses and are encouraged to enter the various art Competitions – Texaco Art Competition, the Credit Union Design a Poster Competition and St. Patricks Day Parade. Our school environment is enhanced by eye-catching displays of students’ work, reflecting the wealth of artistic talent in our school. Our students display their work at the annual Art Exhibition in the school hall. Art Club is open to all art lovers two evenings a week at a minimal change.
Information Technology
Our Computer Club is open to all students at lunch time and after school, allowing everyone the opportunity to work on projects in our well equipped computer room.
Comhairle na nÓg 2009 -2010
The comhairlí(youths councils) are organised by the City/County Development Boards in each local area. Their objective is to give children and young people a voice at a community level. Comhairle na nÓg provides a forum for children and young people to discuss local and national issues of relevance to them. Delegates elected to the Comhairle na nóg or the Dail na nÓg gain an invaluable experience. Their education about the political system in Ireland is extensive, their self confidence increases, their public speaking abilities are encouraged and augmented and it is a very useful addition to their CVs.
